Boracay is world-renowned for being an island paradise that offers everything you want and more in a beach getaway. Its dramatic shores and exclusive islands are some of the reasons it has become one of the most famous travel destinations the world over. Because of this, it’s almost hard to believe that you’re in the Philippines, since this astonishing island has become a second home to lots of Americans, Europeans and other foreigners. In fact, majority of the homes and businesses here are owned by foreigners.
Take your beach holiday to a whole new level when you’re in Boracay by trying out helmet diving. It’s an out of this world experience that lets you get up close and personal with the many marine dwellers around the island.
You’ll be taken to a speedboat ride in the middle of the sea and you’ll be guided by dive masters underwater wearing specially designed helmet. There, you will find colorful schools of fish, corals of every kind and other sea inhabitants.
A tour of the Boracay Oceanarium would be an excellent way to entertain kids who’ve had enough fun under the sun. It’s also an educational activity for children of all ages.
The Oceanarium is the longest underwater observation tunnel in the country. It has guided tours on demand where you will be taken to different parts of the place. Plus, it has a mermaid show that will surely entertain the little ones.
White Beach is Boracay’s most popular beach. But it can be crowded most of the time. If you’re looking to spend some quiet time on a secluded beach, check out Puka Beach, which is a 20-minute trike ride away from the main area. Balinghai Beach would also be perfect since it’s mostly unoccupied due to the fact that it can only be reached during low tide. If you’re more of the sporty type, you might want to try kitesurfing at Bulabog Beach. Love snorkeling? Go to Tambisaan Beach as it has the largest amount of marine life in the island.
